Winter Garden Lights 2014

The holidays this year flew by, didn’t they? I spent some time quiet time with my husband and pup, enjoying a break from the everyday. One of the adventures we went on included a trip to an winter light extravaganza! A local botanical garden puts this on every year as a fundraiser, we braved the chilly evening and spent some  time looking at the beautiful lights. Update a Lamp

My dad recently stopped by and handed me a lampshade. He said the lamp stand that came with it was gold and would I want to take it for an additional light source in the living room? At first I was hesitant, I am still getting into my DIY groove swing and was wondering if I would be able to pull of re-doing a not-so-beautiful gold lamp.
